Yoga classes with Lalita include all the richness of Classical Hatha Yoga: Asana (postures) pranayama (tools for breath development and awaking energy potential), mudras (gestures to invite a specific quality of energy) and bandhas (energy locks to open up specific areas to allow for greater flow of energy) and also meditation. Lalita skilfully guides the class in learning these simple powerful techniques that are combined to open up the body and promote greater energy flow through and connection/integration in the body, energy system, mind, emotions, intuition and total being. The result is improved flexibility and strength, a balanced and resilient nervous system, release of deep tensions, enhanced mental power & concentration and more happiness & connection in . Foundations

Foundations of Classical Yoga with Lalita

This is a fabulous 8 week session for those who are just starting out with yoga and wish to learn the fundamentals in order to build a strong foundation. Lalita skillfully guides the class in learning Asanas to open up energy blockages, improve energy flow and flexibility and increase strength and energy. You will learn tools using the breath, called pranayama, which are practiced to directly impact the the energy flow causing specific desired effects of concentration or balancing to name a few. You will also be introduced to the subtle and profound practice of mudras and bandhas: Gestures to change the inner mental and emotional environment and locks to open up enhance energy flow. This is a great class for anyone wishing to connect to the full possibilities of what Classical Yoga has to offer in order to live a happier, healthier more connected life. It will give you everything you need to start a home practice with confidence!

EMPOWER

EMPOWER Yoga - Strength series! 

DATE: 5 Saturdays in November!

11am-12pm

In this class you will learn practices to empower and bring confidence into you body and every day life. Develop a
trusting relationship with your body and learn how to work with yourself to bring a feeling of strength that goes deep
inside. Learn to confidently relax in your own sense of self and deep sense of empowerment.  You will receive all the class replays as well.

Beginners Yoga with Julie Boyse 'Jaya' 
 

BEGINNERS YOGA

6 week session TBA

In this class you will learn the core practices of yoga to release the joints, improve flexibility and strength, help with the digestive system and to feel more open in the body. In addition to the movements, you will also be introduced to breathwork to help to expand the breath capacity and balance the breath so you feel more ease and balance in life. This is great class for any one looking to really connect with the foundations of yoga and bring more understanding and practice of into every day life. Space is limited, register to reserve your spot :) Investment $75+hst. (No classes on Dec 27 and Jan 3)

About Julie Boyse...

Julie Boyse BIO: “Yoga was my guiding light along my journey from burnout to balance and continues to light my path of peace and happiness” Julie (Jaya)Julie Boyse (Jaya) has been trained in the Sivananda lineage through Sivananda Vendanta Camp in Montreal, Canada, (2016) and SIYA International with Swami Maheshananda Saraswati in Bangalore, India (2018). She is a registered yoga teacher through the Canadian Yoga Alliance as a E-RYT 500 - Gold (over 1,000 hours taught).

She has been practicing yoga since 2009 and was introduced to Swami Satyananda’s yoga tradition in 2011 through her teacher Lalitadevi of Little Mango Tree, she really made a deep connection to yoga in 2014 after having experienced a nervous breakdown, yoga is what she believes saved her life.

Jaya is a spiritual seeker and loves learning and after travelling to Iceland, Costa Rica and India with Swami Mahesh she gained a deeper knowledge of yoga and conducting yoga retreats, she knew she wanted to share what she has learned along her journey to others.

She travels to India regularly to deepen her study, understanding and experiences in Classical Yoga from the roots and original source of Yoga.

This class is designed to bring yoga to people of diverse abilities and special needs. Monica has been an EA for students with special needs for many years. In addition, she has gone through her own healing journey after enduring a brain injury herself. This has brought more compassion and thoughtfulness into her approach in life and in her teaching. The space is wheelchair accessible. Space is limited. Register to reserve your spot.

BIO: Monica has been an Educational Assistant for over 25 years, primarily working with students of various neurodiversities. She has witnessed first-hand the benefits children experience when practicing yoga. Children are natural yogis. She feels humbled to walk beside them as they discover themselves and the world around their inner selves. She has always said the students are her greatest teachers. Yoga assists the students with reducing their stress levels, improving concentration and balance, it increases strength and flexibility, improves gross and fine motor skills and builds body awareness. It also encourages peer and social interactions, leads to better sleep and builds confidence. She has incorporated yoga into her Community Living Classes at school. Monic has seen first hand the benefits of yoga in her own life and during her healing journey. She is passionate to make yoga more accessible for everyone and all abilities.
